I was more than little nervous about going to practice last night, because we had an injury last week, and because one of the gals who went to the bout ended up partially tearing her PCL, and another one skipped practice to rest a less seriously injured knee. I went though, and just tried not to think about it.
I spent a lot of time in drills and scrimmage facing backwards. This terrifies me. I worry that either I will get called for clockwise blocking, or that I will fall onto someone else or they’ll fall onto me and I’ll get injured. I did okay though (I do have some lovely bruises, but nothing more than usual) and the more I practice going backwards and turning the easier it will get.
